Seeing incense in a dream signifies wealth that will come from a person of fine standing, a good life, good remembrance, and inner purity.

Seeing oneself burn incense is a sign of a good livelihood and prosperity. A person perfuming himself with incense smoke in a dream is a sign of getting on well with people. A vessel in which incense is burned signifies a servant who will cause his master to be praised and be the means of his being remembered with good. For a pleasant scent is always sought and praised. A sick man being fumigated with a censer is a sign that death is near.

Imam al-Nabulsi said: Seeing oneself perfumed with the smoke of ambergris signifies attaining wealth from an honorable person; being perfumed with dark, sweet-smelling things such as musk, cloves, and nutmeg signifies eminence and joy. Again, being perfumed with incense in a dream is a sign of good trade and of living by praise and acclaim. Being perfumed with incense in a dream signifies wealth for the poor. Many interpretations have been made of incense.

Seeing incense signifies knowledge, religion, giving charity, peace with the enemy, work for one who is unemployed, making oneself loved by people, and flattery. Again, incense is also a sign of affection and of showing outwardly the love in one's heart.

Seeing oneself recite over incense signifies crushing the enemy, overcoming envious people, recovering from fear, anxiety, and illness, and destroying magic.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said: Seeing agarwood in a dream signifies a man with a beautiful face and fine words, a devout and just head of state, fame, and wealth and benefit. Again, seeing agarwood in a dream is a sign of a man with a beautiful face, gentle character, and gentle words.
