Hail
Classical interpretations
Hail, as its very name suggests, is a calamity for people.
Seeing hail fall from the sky in a dream is interpreted as the state oppressing people, seizing their property, punishing them severely, and causing some people pain.
Seeing snow or hail fall out of season is a sign that the dreamer will fall ill.
Ja'far al-Sadiq said: Seeing hail fall in a dream is interpreted in five ways: a) trouble and calamity, b) enmity, c) enemy soldiers, d) famine, e) sickness and illness...
Seeing hail fall but cause no harm is interpreted as the care of Allah Most High. If a person sees himself gather the falling hail from the ground and fill vessels with it, it signifies goodness, provision, and blessing. Sometimes a dream of hail also signifies straitened livelihood, hardship, and toil.
Seeing hail fall on oneself is a sign of wealth that will slip from one's hands. Hail that falls in its season, however, signifies the departure of sorrows and griefs and the destruction of the enemy and of those who intend treachery. Hail falling on plants in a dream without harming any of them or injuring anyone signifies plenty and cheapness that will descend on that place. Al-Nabulsi said: "Whoever sees himself gather hail and put it into a sieve, a riddle, a garment, or vessels in which water is not kept will, if he is rich, lose his wealth and earnings, and his wealth will diminish.
