Emir

Classical interpretations

If an unmarried person sees an emir in a dream, it signifies that he will marry and be like an emir in his house. Sometimes it is also a sign of gaining a share of something one wishes to obtain.

Seeing oneself appointed by the sultan as governor of one of the frontier cities signifies honor, renown, and the exaltation of one's name in proportion to the distance of the city to which one is appointed. If a person sees himself bring something to eat to the ruler or to the governor of the city, it signifies sorrow and grief. But he will be freed from it, and wealth will come into his hands from where he never expected. If a governor sees himself dismissed in a dream, this is a sign of the loftiness of his office.
