Ash-Shams

Classical interpretations

Seeing oneself recite Surah Ash-Shams or one of its verses, or hearing it recited over oneself, signifies victory and triumph, a righteous child, safety in this world and the Hereafter, love for scholars, repentance, and seeking forgiveness.

Ja'far al-Sadiq interpreted it as being a scholar who acts upon his knowledge, superior understanding, strong intelligence, and being among the truthful.
