Ar-Rahman

Classical interpretations

Seeing oneself recite Surah Ar-Rahman in full or in part, hearing it recited over oneself, or hearing another person recite it, signifies attaining God's pardon and forgiveness, knowledge of jurisprudence and learning, and protection from evil and wrongdoing.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said that the person receives abundant blessings in this world and God's mercy in the Hereafter and attains what he desires. Al-Nabulsi said that the person goes to one of the Two Sanctuaries, dies there, and receives God's mercy.
